A less practiced studio might have apologised for reality. AMBER has spent years inventing fabrication techniques to close the gap between Iñigo Calleja's fantasy sketches and what hands can actually make — which meant that, almost without knowing it, the interior designer had found exactly the right partner.

The material was iroko — oversized planks of the kind that industrial workshops quietly turn away. Too heavy, too wide for standard machinery, prone to warping at that scale, demanding the kind of individual attention that production lines cannot afford. For AMBER, that is a description of interesting work.
